This chair is exactly what I expected it to be, but I didn't realize HOW comfortable it was until I compared it to the chair it replaced. It has very firm padding, but ergonomically it puts you in a very comfortable seating position. At the same time it doesn't form you into one seating position, so you can shift your body around some as well. Assembly time was maybe 30 minutes, and mine does have adjustable arm rests. If you find executive chairs extremely uncomfortable, then give this one a try. I'll take function over looks any day of the week!
