(More customer reviews)I was excited to get this chair, and I though it would be really great, but I am quite disappointed. This appears to be a copy of a Herman Miller design, or a similar knock-off. However, it lacks much adjust-ability.
First, the seat height is a bit taller than I would have liked. My present chair is lower to the floor, despite the fact that I am six feet tall, I've never felt the need or desire to raise it from it's lowest level.
Second, because of the location of the bolts that hold the seat back in place, it was more difficult to assemble than it should have been. I was a bit worried about puncturing the seat back fabric mesh, so I had to be extra careful.
Since I did not find this more comfortable than my present chair, which definitely needs to be replaced, I gave this to my wife, who found it to be very comfortable. Now that she has it in front of her desk, however, she says that the seat cushion is too short, and there is no way to adjust the position of the seat cushion, even though the last picture claims that there is a way to adjust the seat position. It simply does not exist on this chair, and if it does, the pitifully inadequate instruction sheet, which only gives 4 pictorials for assembly, no operating instructions, no warranty info, nothing, does not show you how to use it. I could not find a lever or paddle to adjust this, at all. The only adjustments on this chair are for seat-back tension, chair height and a lock for the seat-back, and a height adjustment for the headrest, which inevitably falls down after you adjust it. Also, the lumbar support can be moved up and down. That's it. The pictures also show what appears to be a foam covered seat, when in fact the seat is made of fabric.
The lumbar support is effective and comfortable, as is the head rest.
The appearance is very good and quite stylish, and the materials are attractive, and seem to be durable.
The description of the chair is insufficient for the buyer to make an educated decision about this chair beforehand. The instructions are pitiful. The product description says there is a 5 year warranty. IMO, this is too short considering the price. I can find chairs under $100 at Office Depot with a longer warranty.
Overall, I would say that this is a good chair, with some issues that place it in the "no better than average" category, and very overpriced for what is being offered. No better than average, at a premium price. I am disassembling it now to return it.
