General comments: Great for big people but also good for those who don't want to be locked in a chair in one position all day long. There is plenty of room on the sides to move around and find a good position.
Armrests: Fabric-covered armrests are soft and at the right height for using a keyboard on your lap, like I do. Padding on armrests is about an inch. There is a curve in the armrests which is perfect to accommodate people of various builds or if you feel like either slouching or sitting up straight.
Seats and back: Back support is good and strong from bottom to top. Soft and thick cushions. Bottom padding is about 5 or 6 inches and is made out of some kind of material that is both soft and strong. Back padding is about 4 or 5 inches, made of the same soft and strong material.
Assembly: I just needed one large-head Phillips (cross) screwdriver to install 12 screws. Took me 35 minutes, but I'm overly methodical and like to take my time. If I were to assemble another chair, I could easily do it in 15 minutes or less. Everything fit together fine. A lot of thought went into the design so that all of the parts support each other and add strength.
Fabric: Mine is blue. It's a fabric that will hold up well to lots of wear. Looks like the surface could easily be cleaned, if needed.
Temperature: I'm not getting over-heated on the bottom and back sitting in this chair, as always happens with sticky leather or vinyl chairs.
Tilt: The entire chair tilts back and has a strong adjustable spring, or whatever it is that brings the chair back into position. The whole-chair tilt design is much better for me than those where just the back of the chair tilts. Chair can also be locked into an upright position.
Height Adjustment: Regular up/down height adjustment lever on the right side.
Materials: It just has an all-around feel of being a high-quality product.
Shipment: Mine was delivered by UPS in a big box, about 2 feet by 4 feet by 3 feet. I brought the pieces upstairs in three round trips.
Other: I got a kick out a warning on the assembly instructions stating, "Do not use this chair as a step ladder." I thought that was odd until I went to my stepladder and the warning read, "Do not use this step ladder as a chair."
