(More customer reviews)This is comes in a big flat package protected only by cardboard on each side. Mine had a cracked, damaged edge piece. Because it would be hard to mail back and seemed likely to be damaged next time as well, I decided I could live with it.
I have a very short pile carpet so I got the 3/8" nubs as recommended by manufacturer. The carpet slides around because the nubs don't penetrate well, but I don't think longer nubs would work because it would make the surface too bumpy for the chair.
I don't know if the product will be durable which is the main problem with mat protectors, but I wouldn't buy it again unless it turns out to last a long time.
