During that time, I blew through my life savings, my wife left me for the town drunk, my kids abandoned me, and my dog was abducted by some fat lady with a weave and a forearm tattoo of Pat Morita choking out Ralph Macchio...
But you can't sweat the small stuff, because now I have a replica Oval Office in my garage. I win.
Upon completion, there was only one accessory missing - a chair. I tried all the basics - Sears, Caldor, Office Depot, but had no luck in my search for a chair that screamed excellence while at the same time saying, I Heart the United States. After countless hours on the hunt, I became tired, then sad, then afraid, then a little sick, then a little tired...Anyway, after spending a week binging on Italian bread, Gallon tubs of Turkey Hill Mint Chip, and Cape Cod Salt and Pepper Chips doused with Evan Williams, I decided to test my luck on Amazon.
At first my hopes were low, but then I came across this chair right here. And I was literally blown out of my Teva's. Yes, my Teva's coming off may have had something to do with the cyclone that tore through my main house at that exact instant, destroying everything in its path, leaving me naked amidst the crippled frame, but I swear it was something bigger than just the weather. Was it a sign from God? Was it a sign from the dinosaurs? Was it a sign from my stupid drunken ex-wife? I don't know. But this chair was the best purchase I ever made. And all I had to do was take out a 2nd mortgage on my house - it was that easy!
Now, some call me crazy, but let me ask you a question - would you rather be considered sane and live in a house with enough space in your garage to park your Subaru...OR...would you rather be considered crazy and have a replica Oval Office in your garage?
