(More customer reviews)These are quite common in the meditation and retreat world for casual seating. Unless you are sure the users will be relatively small people, you do need to buy these "XL" sized BackJacks. The regular sized ones would be too small. What happens with these over time is the fabric stretches and one feels the metal frame more and more eventually necessitating the use of a pillow or cushion on the back part. Not a huge deal but it will happen. Amazon sells such an accessory and you should budget such an item for the long term life of the BackJack. Now on the more plus side, they DO seem of a quality that will last for years with reasonable care so the eventual added cushion cost can be justified. And of course the stacking feature of these Backjacks is really great for saving space.
There are better and more comfortable alternatives (without the stacking feature) to these but at a much higher price. Our meditation group settled on these along with the traditional Safu & Zabuton sets.

This product generally ships within 3 business day(s) from Hunt Valley, Maryland, and weighs 4 pound(s). The Extra Large Back Jack looks and acts like a beach chair but with far more padding, strength and durability in the design. The Backjack is excellent for those who get lower back pain when sitting. All Back Jack portable chairs have zinc plated, rust resistant tubular steel frames with solid forged steel support elbows. Standard Back Jack portable chairs can be easily stacked for storage, provide a cushioned pad, and back support. Back Jack portable chairs are available in three styles: The Original, the XL and the Folding Back Jack. The Folding Back Jack looks exactly like the Original model, but has a spring loaded support foot that folds flat when not in use.
