(More customer reviews)This book stand arrived with the lower part, which is supposed to support the book, snapped off. And no wonder! The stand is made of flimsy, cheap plastic and even if unbroken would barely support a magazine, much less a real book. It is an engineering disaster, and a one-star rating is lavishing praise it does not deserve. By the way, I also own the blue Bookchair made by the same company, and it is just fine (at least four stars) though a bit small for most books. I am a regular Amazon customer, and I have never been so disappointed with a purchase. Rather than bothering to replace it, I just threw it in the fireplace.
